Recipes For Sandwich Maker

Sandwich makers are exceptionally handy appliances around the kitchen. They allow you to have a quick on the go meal without having to resort to something as plain as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. However, you may be wondering what recipes for sandwich makers there are. Sure you can make a nice warm sandwich, but what kind?

Really it comes down to what your preferences are. Personally I’m a fan of pizza, can’t get enough of it. So I make myself a pizza sandwich. It sounds odd but it is really quite simple. All you need to do is make sure you have the following ingredients.

1: Bread
2: Pizza sauce
3: Cheese
4: Toppings
5: Butter

Now what you do is take the pieces of bread and spread the sauce over one of them, make sure not to get any on the sides as they won’t seal right if you do.

After you do that take the cheese and place it on top of the sauce. If you are using sliced cheese just lay it down if you are using shredded make sure to get an even spread.

Take whatever toppings you want and spread them around on top of the cheese. Do not overload it otherwise they will not seal correctly.

Finally, place the second piece of bread on top of the first like a sandwich. Take a knife and spread some butter over the sides of the sandwich. Do not put too much butter, just make it a nice fine coat. Put the sandwich on the cooker and let it grill, that is all there is to it.

Once cooked make sure to let it cool for a few minutes as the inside will be VERY hot. The last thing you want is to go and take a big bite only to get third-degree burns on the inside of your mouth. But once cooled you should have a pocket-sized pizza with minimal effort and only a short amount of time.

If pizza is not quite your thing, then the only other one I know of is a grilled fruit pie. It is not a meal but a great dessert. It takes about as much time and effort as that pizza I mentioned above and you will need the following ingredients.

1: Bread
2: Fruit Pie Filling
3: Cinnamon
4: Butter

First, take the two slices of bread and put a couple of tablespoons of the pie filling on one of them. Make sure to spread it evenly. Place the second slice of bread on top of the first and spread a light coat of butter on each side. Sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on the outsides of the sandwich and grill it up.

As always make sure to let it cool for a few minutes as the inside will be very hot.

If those aren’t exactly what you’re looking for, there are still a lot of recipes for the sandwich makers. I am not exactly a gourmet cook, so I can not share them all with you. But if you look online or consult various cookbooks I am sure you can find a wide array of sandwiches you can make.
